In May, the Church dedicates the month to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

During this time, Catholics try to keep the Mother of God more present in their hearts, with a love shown in affectionate devotion to our Lady.

Mary is the mother of God. She was united with Jesus as no other human being was or could be. Mary is the queen of heaven and in her motherhood she is close to us.

Whilst worship is reserved for God alone, we revere Mary as the Mother of God. In faith, she is our mother too & we should honour our parents.
