We will be at parishes across the diocese. This is a wonderful opportunity for those, nearing the end of full-time education, who may be unsure of their next steps, to learn more about what is on offer for them at The Nottingham Diocesan Catholic Youth Service.

Young people will have the chance to speak and pose questions to, this year’s volunteer team, learn about the skills that they have gained and how this experience has enabled them to walk closer in relationship with God.

We run residential work experience programmes for 16+ throughout the year at our centre in Crich, Matlock. During their programme, students will have the chance to take part in rewarding work with young people, who might not normally be offered the opportunity to have time away from home, and shape their life and faith journey.

NDCYS launched their summer internships programme in 2024 where we welcomed two interns to work with The Briars team once they have finished their studies for the academic year. Young people able to gains skills in marketing, hospitality and business management during their internship as well as work in chaplaincy and youth work.
