Holy Week sits at the heart of the whole year, and most young people only ever see it from a pew, if at all. Search for the Light is our Easter retreat: young people in Years 10 to 13 spend Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday at The Briars, our retreat centre in the Derbyshire hills. Search gives you the opportunity to get close to the story and take a seat at the table. With our amazing guest speakers we unpack the triduum as the story unfolds.

What the days look like

Sessions that unpack the Easter story as it unfolds, activities, good food, free time in the hills, and the kind of conversation that doesn’t happen at school. It’s made for people with questions as much as for people with answers; most arrive knowing one or two faces and leave with new friendships built.
