Wow, you guys are simply what retreat here at the Briars is all about- you put your all into everything you do- that is a great gift! The making of our flowerpots was a highlight for me-you all are very close as a year group and you are all fantastic team players that will just grow! Shouts out to my small groups- I don’t think I have laughed so much! Those that played Frisbee- what a Mac line we created you guys were awesome- despite my dodgy throwing J !

Hi guys, and hello to my lovely small group the double T’s! I absolutely loved everything we did in our few days together. Our goth sunflower was amazing, even if he wilted a bit towards the end! It was so much fun creating him! I really enjoyed the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory session and liked learning alot more about you all! Our walk was wicked, even if it did rain quite a bit. and the Irish Dancing/disco was mint in the evening. We had such an amazing few days and your certificates at the end were lovely! Thank you for a beautiful few days.

Hello everyone! And hello to my small group Nigel’s Knock Downs. I knew we were going to have a fantastic time from the moment I knocked down that picture and became Clump. I loved everything we did this week it was fantastic! Our sunflower was beautiful and actually stood up! Everything we did this week you did it with enthusiasm and you were an absolute joy to have as a small group! Planting our sunflower seeds on Friday was wicked and I can’t wait till they grow. A brilliant week, every single one of you was absolutely amazing, so enthusiastic and just a credit to yourselves and your new school, they’re lucky to have you all there. There were some seriously pretty sunflowers the first night, if the ones we plant turn out as well as those one’s then it’ll be awesome. Considering you’ve only been in school together for a month or so, you all seem to have gelled together really really well, carry on being friendly and kind to each other like you were here. Thank you so much for a great week I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, this week I was unable to have my own group L but the year 7’s I witnesses in breaks and at lunch times were absolutely awesome! The group had such amazing energy and enthusiasm, and although they’ve only been a year group for little over 2 months, I thought that the group were very close and well bonded, particularly after the week aswell. I really enjoyed the teachers’ company aswell, and it was lovely to see the relationship between the teachers and the pupils. Hope to see you up here again soon! Best of luck for year 7 . Lauren
Wow what a crazy week that was! Both halves of the week were absolutely amazing but in their own way! “FLowerpower” you were so funny with Norbert the cushion, paint splashes and basket explosions! Then “Rubberducky cookies” with our chair, wink murder and painted hands everywhere! Thankyou for such a Great week, I loved every part of it from the incredible building and design of the sunflowers to the walk on the hills, to the the beautiful plantpots and of course to the most energetic and fun discos ever! You guys have pure dance talent! Impressed! I loved how happy and friendly you were all week, it was reflected in the glowing atmosphere all week!

I had such a brilliant week with you guys- I LOVE SJH!!! I can’t believe you’ve only been at school for 6 weeks, because you got on so well with each other and you definitely bonded over the course of the retreat. I had a great time making sunflowers, watching ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and just having an amazing time with my small groups. Big shout out to my groups ‘The Upper Eclipse’ and ‘The Nine Awesome Pizza Slices’- you made my weeks with your funny comments and enthusiasm (and they were obviously the best groups by far). Thank you so much for a wonderful time and I hope you enjoy the rest of year 7!!

You guys were a fantastic year group and really bonded as the week went on which was lovely! Shout out to the moon crew and the super ones you guys made my group great .. with the creation of the watering can and the planting of the sunflowers you all really grew like the sunflowers as the week went on which was a beautiful moment.
You guys all busted your moves at the disco got involved in all the games and painting and sticking which was awesome.
You were all great at getting stuck in asking questions and were just a really lovely kind bunch of young people !
Thankyou so much for a great week and make sure you thank your teachers because they were great !
