The 40th anniversary of the Briars was celebrated at the Open Day, which was a really good day. Mass was excellent and the stalls and food were quality, too. To top it off the weather was beautiful and I got a t-shirt tan (where only the forearms and neck get tan and the rest remains standard). Unfortunately, I had tonsilitis so wasn’t able to work or fully enjoy the day but I was cheered up no end when I won the main cash prize on the raffle!
