Hey guys, what an awesome week. You guys were a brill group and I had so much fun. You arrived with such enthusiasm and you were so good and friendly. Meal times were a treat because every table I sat at were very welcoming and chatty so thank you. The trips I went on were brilliant, I loved the walk on Tuesday and the Tramway museum on Thursday and thought the day in Wednesday learning about beatitudes was amazing, the role plays were top!

Also a big shout out to my group – The Oakies, you were fantastic, I don’t think I’ve ever met so many Bruce’s and Shelia’s in one week haha!

Hope you enjoyed your week as much as I did. Enjoy year 6 and take care!

You were great fun all week, and you had amazing amounts of energy and enthusiasm. I really enjoyed the week and hope you did too, I especially enjoyed all the walking and I’m sure you did too. I loved going to Tramway and absolutely loved the sweet shop!! I hope you all enjoyed the week as much as I did and I hope some of you come up for mass sometime soon.

Hope to see you again soon

Don

I had such a fun week this week! A big hello to my small group ‘the red chocolate chips’, you were fantastic, thanks for all your hard work with the morning. On the first night, we managed to save Chris the crisp, so well done, your genius idea to use the cellotape as part of our contraption was amazing!

I really enjoyed going on the canal walk on Tuesday was really nice, and it was great to see how chatty you all were with each other, and I really enjoyed getting to know you all better. The Beatitudes session on Wednesday was really good, and that was because you all got stuck in with what we were doing and tried really hard.

I had so much fun on Thursday doing all the games with you to show the 10 commandments. Thank you for sharing so well with your booklets, it really made the day special!

It was sad to see you go on Friday, hope some of you will come up with your secondary school!

Take care and good luck with year 6!

Steph

Hello all,
It was amazing to meet you all this week, I had such a great time and I hope you lot did too!
A special thankyou to my group ‘Simply the Best’, simply because you guys were the best. Trying to save that crisp on the first night was just hilarious, I was praying we could do the job but I guess I wasn’t praying hard enough! Still, we had fun trying.
Also, our visit to the Tramway I thought was really good. It was my first time up there this year and I thought it was so interesting…especially the sweet shop! I’m now addicted to lemon bonbons.
The walk we went on aswell along the Cromford canal I personally thought was the highlight of the week. It was brilliantly led by your headmaster and his dog. It was so refreshers to go on a walk of that length and not hear any complaints or questions like “How long untill we finish?” You guys were amazing.
The prayer journeys also I thought went very well, you all respected what we were doing and the manner in which you came into the rooms just showed that.
I hope you all had fun and want to come back sometime and visit!

Peace

Joe

Hello guys!

Well, what a week we’ve had together! I’ve loved all the trips we’ve been on, especially the Cromford canal walk, it was brilliant! I was loving the ideas you guys had for showing what you’ve been up to this week at the Briars using items from the woods, I think the group with the bed had a brilliant idea!

A big thankyou goes out to my group ‘Super 6s’ you guys were awesome, I had some really fun times. you guys worked brilliantly in every task we did. Especially in the crisp task, I’m really glad that our crisp survived! The shield you guys made was pure class. it would definitely hold off the crisp killer!

Seeing you guys working so well together was really inspiring, it was hard to tell who came from which school at the end of the week because you guys got along so well!

Its been a great week and I hope to see you guys up visiting us again!

Conor

Hey guys!

What an awesome week we have had! All the activities we did were so fun because you threw yourselves into them straight from the off and that was great to see. A big shout at to my small group, you guys were hilarious and kept me laughing all week and a real well done on saving the crisp, that was a real high light of the week. The Cromford Walk on Tuesday with Good Shepard was one of the most enjoyable I have been on yet, although you walked for ages there wasn’t one single complaint I heard so that is something to be really proud of!

Although I didn’t have a small group for the Beautitudes Session I really enjoyed walking round the group and hearing all your brilliant ideas, the collages some of you created were amazing, and one of my favourites was definetly the world collage that Don’s group created.

The day in with St Josephs on the 10 Commandments was awesome! I was really impressed with your prior knowledge and attitude towards the Commandments and how you really tried to understand the meanings behind them, and playing games all day wasn’t bad either!

Mass was really good and I really liked being able to see how the groups understood their part of the mass and was impressed with the volume of the singing, so good work guys!

Enjoy the rest of your year,

Dave
