Today, along with Fr. Dave Cain we visited St. Patrick’s primary school to prepare for Advent with the WHOLE school and what a great day it was! We started off the day with an assembly lead by Fr. Dave and we found out what beautiful singers you all were! We learnt all about the four different themes of the weeks in Advent; hope, peace, joy and love! GOLD, gold – always believe in your souuuuul! Black & gold, black & gold, black & gold, Gold FINGER, Down Down Down Da-Down Down Down!
Afterwards each different class went away to look at different things that help us to prepare for the birth of Jesus. Our time with Year 6 was very busy – we played lots of games and made some gift boxes in which we left room for Jesus at Christmas. The drawings for the Advent calendar were just amazing, we hope you enjoy working your way through your tasks for each day of advent.
Mass at the end of the day was fantastic – the effort everyone put in was astounding! The display looked incredible with all the different things you had made! Nice work, St. Patricks!
