For a few years now schools from around our diocese have travelled together on coaches and acted as helpers to the other pilgrims. It is a superb experience and one you will never forget. It’s open to students who are Yr 11 to Yr 13 and takes place from the 14th – 22nd July 2012.

If you are currently in a Catholic school speak to your Head of RE/Chaplain/Teacher about organising a group.

If you are not in a Catholic school then then don’t worry! The youth service has a limited number of places open to young people Yr 11 to Yr 13 not currently in Catholic education who want to go.

If you have never been to Lourdes on the Diocesan Pilgrimage before, it is a great chance to go on pilgrimage, experience being part of the Diocesan family, make new friends, see the global Catholic family gathered in a place of pilgrimage and serve the needs of the sick and less-able who need our help.

You will act as part of a large team of Brancardier and Handmaids who will be given duties to help the less-able pilgrims participate. There will specific events/celebrations for the schools groups to ensure you get the most out of the experience.

Further details for the Youth Service group can be found below by downloading the Information Letter and Booking Forms.

The closing date for applications is the 20th of February.
