St. Peter’s, Leicester

We were back amongst the now familiar faces of the St. Peter’s confirmation group. Today we are in the parish for the whole day thinking about the idea of disiciplship and what it means to follow, but as well as that we thought about how to begin a journey like confirmation we must start with a clear slate and God can offer that to us in reconciliation. We started by watching Mary Poppins, what better than to think about what is really required in some one to look after us, after that we thought about a job description that Jesus would need in 2009 and then decided to build him out of very varied resources. We displayed all these to each other then considered the idea of reconciliation by burning away all the things we want to get rid of (on peices of paper) and the used those ashes to create an amazing banner which we displayed to the parish at Saturday night mass along with our prayers and role plays and rocking it out with great singing from everyone around, we can’t beleive we’re half way through.
