St Peter’s, Leicester

We got to go to a parish last Saturday and work at St Peter’s Leicester for a confirmation taster day! It was the first one we had ever done too and what a great group of people to work with and it was great to see so many people that showed up, we thought about how we follow things nowadays and what and who we do follow and what it’s like to follow Jesus and some of the ideas that you had were amazing! And with pizza for lunch who can complain?

After lunch we learnt a bit about what you will be doing for the confirmation and what different sessions we will be doing! This involved the great egg challenge which was EGGTASTIC! And no groups egg broke which was impressive!

We then finished with a liturgy which you guys got involved with by either doing a drama or prayers. Then you wrote on a footprint what you enjoyed about the day which looked well good and then you collected a footprint! Now you can decide whether you want to take your confirmation or not which is a brilliant idea! We cant wait that were doing the whole confirmation programme with you and we hope that you make the decision that is right for you!

Great work – let’s hope we can arrange something similar for our next Confirmation preparation classes in Melton Mowbray. Would be interested to know how this was organised, and is the Parish funding it? Would be very interested to know. We are shortly to begin planning our next group.
