Day of Pentecost with preparation for mass
Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame. We were on fire… literally…
Probably the hottest day that Reach4 have been on the road so far and boy did we follow a warm theme. The day was focused around the feast of Pentecost and the Confirmation candidates wasted no ‘hot’ opportunity by creating flames to go up in Church. On the flames were their names, proposed Confirmation names and their reason why they wanted to be confirmed. Lots of them were very inspiring and they looked fab when they went up on the walls for the six o’clock mass. The candidates also created a video to send to Bishop Malcolm in which they all stood forward and said why they wanted to be confirmed. There were a few crazy dances and choreographed routines which were supported so well by the rest of the group. We looked at the Holy Spirit and how we can use the gifts we are given, and then the group showed them beautifully in the evening’s celebration of mass. A fantastic way to end the day, and we even sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to the Church in the middle of mass. It was great!
