Reconciliation Preparation
An evening full of paint but at least the floor didn’t see too much of it, although some people’s hair did… We spent the evening with forty-two confirmation candidates looking at the topic of Reconciliation. We discussed the different aspects of the Sacrament and how we need to fully understand each section in order to receive the Sacrament. We looked at contrition, confession, absolution and penance. Then we painted a big bed sheet in which we painted symbols to answer questions on our personal thoughts of Reconciliation e.g. where does forgiveness come from? We spent a lot of time delving into the unknown and discussing our views and then we brought our answers and artwork together to end our evening with a calm atmosphere and a clearer understanding of Reconciliation.
