Sinead

SinéadHiii!

I’m Sinéad and I’m 19 years old and I refuse to get any older! This is my second year at the Briars, now as part of the Reach4 team, and I can’t wait to visit lots of you in your own schools and parishes; hopefully I’ll see some familiar faces and meet lots of new people too.

I love to talk to everyone, and be warned, if anyone starts a conversation to do with Maths or being a twin I will ramble on for ages! This is mainly because I have a twin brother and I want to do Maths at University…..because everyone knows that Maths is the best subject ever (so if any of you have any Maths homework when I’m there we’re going to have a great time). I’m so excited to come and visit you all in your schools because I LOVED school…and I’m not afraid to admit to it! School dinners especially were the highlight of my day (after maths lessons of course). My favourite food has to be bread or chicken or pasta or Wotsits or cheese or pickled onions……everything basically!

By the time I’m 50 I want to have swam with dolphins, gone to New York, skydived, and met a celebrity. So if anyone has ever met anyone famous please tell me all about it.

Basically, I love to talk, eat, laugh…everything really!

Can’t wait to see you all and have lots of fun:)!

It was great to see so many people turning up for the Mass and vigil. It was a long night but well worth it and I hope that people enjoyed it and enjoyed the sessions we had prepared. I really enjoyed the CAFOD session and all the songs we sang throughout the night.

The Mass at dawn was great and a fantastic experience.

Wow! Where to even start talking about the week! It was simply amazing! You are all so incredible and I loved getting to know so many of you! We really felt like part of your community so thankyou for that!

All of the trees were great and the amount of energy you put into them really showed how much you care about your community. It was a lot of fun working with individual forms…we had so many laughs while making the trees or playing the best game ever…SQUIRT!!

All of the Liturgies were great, thankyou all for putting so much effort into making them so good!

The Wednesday was so hectic…there was a lot to do but there was such a great atmosphere we were all buzzing. I loved working with the primary schools, it was such a fun day.

Thankyou to everyone who came to the Mass on wednesday night… I loved it! Everyone who helped with preparation for the Mass were amazing! The drama group that me and Eleanor had were soooooo much fun and made me laugh soooooo much I thought we were never going to get anything done!

The last day with the Year 7′s and 8′s was great getting to play loads of games and preparing the drama in the afternoon was so much fun!

It was such a fantastic week and can’t wait to see you all later in the year!

Wow! What an amazing day! Wake and shake was soooo much fun and it definitely got me ready for a fun and busy day. You lads who led it did a great job…well done!

You guys picked up all the golden rules so quickly…quicker than me! It was so much fun playing all the games to understand the golden rules.

Everyone was so friendly and I had so much fun getting to know you all. I loved spending time with so many of you at lunch, the racing around was funny even if it did tire me out.

Thanks to the group I worked with on the drama for our Liturgy you guys blew me away with your amazing ideas and how enthusiastic you were i loved every second of it!

It was great to get to spend the final liturgy with the whole school…you all did really well at picking up the actions to the community song!

Well to say we only had an hour and a half with you guys we did so much and got to know you all so well, probably because you were all so friendly and welcoming and definitely a lot of fun as you never stopped jumping around or chatting.

You all put so much energy into the part of Mass that you had to prepare and I know that the Mass is going to be amazing, we’re just sad we can’t be there on the day. Your enthusiasm made the time go so quickly but definitely an amazing night.

Good luck with your Mass and hopefully see you when you come to the Briars!

This was an absolutely amazing day! You were all so much fun and ready to get involved with everything. It was so interesting talking to you all about what animals you got in your personality test and seeing you put that into practice during all those games.

I could not stop laughing when you were all pulling around on those ropes trying to make different shapes, you all did very well and it was very entertaining and some of u definitely got into the competitive spirit! I think the funniest moment of the day was when some of you volunteered to stand at the front in two groups and make different rooms out of your bodies; the remote control……comedy gold!!!

It was so nice to go somewhere and get on with everyone straight away, you were all so friendly and a lot of fun to be around. You were AMAZING singers, and I loved it when some of you really got into it and even started throwing out a few dance moves!!!

It was a great day! O ye…thanks for the sandwiches….they were gorgeous!

Our first job as this year’s Reach4 team was at St Mary’s Primary School in Grantham, what a start to our year! We could all tell it was going to be an awesome day as soon as we started the whole school assembly in the morning…..you were all so amazing at singing the community song, and you’re funky dance moves definitely deserve a special mention! Then we spent the rest of the day with the Year 6’s, playing games, filling out questions, having discussions and preparing our Liturgy; all to focus on the idea of community. Your Jenga playing skills were impressive and I loved how much you through yourself into all the team challenges in the afternoon. The Liturgy was a lovely way to end the day and I hope to see you all again soon, maybe when you come to the Briars towards the end of the year!

Wow…..we’ve done so much and it’s only 3 weeks into the year! It has been a great start to the year and it’s made us even more excited about the year ahead! Team training has been great, there has been a lot of information to take in but everyone has done really well and now we’re all ready and raring to go!

We went to Bamford for a few days to get to know each other and then it was back to the Briars to get to grips with all the practical stuff. The real work starts now though as groups are starting to come to the Briars and we (the Reach4 team) are starting to visit schools and parishes, and its looking like it’s going to be an amazing year!
